about
‘Blow a Kiss / Catch a Knife’ was released on 20th of March 2020. The single is an upbeat punk/funk/disco trip with slick guitar and descriptive lyrics “ghost from the past, ex lover with a mask, oh how you love to haunt me” and “skin tight, leather and boots, cheap thrills, single life” painting the image of wild nights out with friends gone dark! The track channels 70’s vibes influenced by the likes of Debbie Harry and David Bowie.
lyrics
Bound to explode, cause she can’t control my mind.
Thoughts detonate like dynamite.
Ghost from the past ex lover with a mask, wait and see.
Oh how you love to haunt me, oh how you love to haunt me.
Eyes wide, shirt undone, fist fight, do it for love, tonight, blow a kiss, catch a knife.
Tonight, tonight, blow a kiss, catch a knife.
Hearts palpitate, to an irregular beat.
Give it your best shot, you won’t tempt me.
Attraction pulls us together, like a nuclear force.
Whilst the mind orbits, bodies float.
Hypnotic moves with dancers in booths.
You’ll find me at the bar with the rest of the ghouls,
You’ll find me at the bar with the rest of the fools.
Skin tight, leather and boots, cheap thrills, single life
Tonight, tonight, blow a kiss, catch a knife.
I’ve been cursed and hexed till there’s nothing left
Reinvented myself, kissed a demon in hell
Revenge sex, drink the potion, lift the hex
Cause I’m never going back to hating myself.
Eyes wide, shirt undone, fist fight, do it for love, tonight, blow a kiss, catch a knife.
Tonight, tonight, blow a kiss, catch a knife.
Hearts palpitate, to an irregular beat.
Give it your best shot, you won’t tempt me.
Tonight, tonight, I’m going home, without you.
